Mark Phillips has achieved a rewarding career in financial services by putting his clients' interests first and providing exceptional personal service.
His 3+ decades of experience as a financial advisor - throughout various major market cycles - have taught him how to advise his clients to understand the risks and rewards of investing.
When serving clients, Mark draws on the communications and leadership skills he developed at some of the well-known names on Wall Street. He started his financial services career in 1987 as a Financial Consultant with Paine Webber. He moved his financial practice to Smith Barney and advanced during his 10-year tenure to become a First Vice President - Investments. He also spent several years at UBS Financial Services before he helped establish the investment firm FPL Financial Strategies in 2007. In 2013, he established his own firm, Phillips Wealth Management, LLC.
In addition to applicable securities registrations and insurance licenses, he holds his bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing from Kent State University.
Mark currently leads Discover Church in Wadsworth, Ohio. He had previously been an active member of Sycamore Creek Church in Pickerington, Ohio. Mark serves on the board of directors of Our Father’s Project a ministry reaching urban youth in Columbus. He also serves on the board of directors of the BrockStrong Foundation helping to keep the legacy of excellence and kindness alive in honor of Brock “B-Rock” Johnson. He is a past president of the Evangel Christian Academy Athletic Booster Club, a former volunteer Pickerington High School Tigers football coach, and was active with the Pickerington Youth Athletic Association. Mark and his wife Jan have two adult children, AJ and Jennie who work with him at Phillips Wealth Management. He is also “Big Poppa” to his three perfect granddaughters.
He enjoys playing an occasional round of golf, all sports and traveling to Florida theme parks.
