My Dave Ramsey Story

I am honored to be a Dave Ramsey SmartVestor Pro. My journey with Dave started when I would debate Dave Ramsey’s philosophy with my pastor. I was all about the math. Why would you give up a match on your 401(k) to pay off your debt?

My pastor challenged me to attend Financial Peace University to learn more about Dave’s philosophy. At the time, it was a 13-week commitment, but my wife and I made the commitment. And then it happened, that “Aha moment.” The light bulb went off in the second week. I began to understand where Dave was coming from. It is about the behaviors! If you get the behaviors right, the math will take care of itself.

That was 2010 and we have been on the Ramsey Journey ever since that time. And like you, it was a life changer! We have walked through the Baby Steps and encourage others to do the same. 

To become a SmartVestor Pro, financial professionals must pass an intensive vetting process and commit to following the code of conduct expected of a SmartVestor Pro. I am proud to have been selected in the fall of 2014.
